Kimberly Kay
Willingham
Aug 1, 1959 — May 19, 2026
Trinity
Kimberly Kay Willingham, 66, of Trinity, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love she so generously gave to everyone around her. She was born August 1, 1959, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Dick Cockrell and Winona Hillis.
To know Kimberly was to know a woman whose heart had no limits. Being a mother was, by her own measure, her greatest and most cherished role — the accomplishment she held above all others. She cared deeply about people in the most genuine sense, the kind of person who would give her last penny to someone in need without a second thought.
Kimberly had a spirit that was impossible not to love. Her sense of humor was entirely her own, and her laughter was contagious — she had a way of finding the funny every day and giggling in a manner that made those around her smile without even knowing why. She had a tender love for animals and a pure, whimsical adoration for unicorns that perfectly captured the magic she brought to life.
She will be deeply missed by all who have the privilege of knowing her.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her father, Dick Cockrell; her mother, Winona Hillis; and her beloved son, Kevin Michael Vitro.
She is survived by her sons, Adam Ray Vitro and Shawn Lucas Willingham; her grandchildren, Nathanial Vitro, Isaiah Vitro, Jaxson Vitro, Knox Vitro, Nickolas Vitro, Mayson Vitro, and Dallas Vitro; her sister, Sharla Cockrell; her brother, John Leroy Smith; her step-mother, Carolyn Cockrell; and a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
