Funeral services for Judd Francis Pyle, Sr., age 84 of Apple Springs, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church in Nogalus Prairie, Texas with Dr. Nathan Davis officiating the services and Bro. James Whittlesey assisting. Interment will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church in Nogalus Praire, Texas.

Mr. Pyle was born on April 24, 1931 in Apple Springs, Texas and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 22, 2015 in Trinity, Texas. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Uria Pyle and Nora (Burran) Pyle; his wife, Gwendolyn Arbutus Pyle and numerous siblings. Judd was a character, he had a wonderful personality and enjoyed being able to make friends wherever he would travel. He served in the United States Navy and was proud to be a part of the military. He was a hard worker and loved being a mechanic. Judd could often be found working outdoors in his garden or playing dominos with his family. He loved spending time with his family and could tell many stories. He was raised as a Baptist and would be the first person to tell you that he was baptized out in Hackberry Creek. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather brother and friend.

He leaves to cherish his memories his three children, daughter, Carmen Davis and husband, Johnny Davis, of Nogalus Prairie, son, Judd Pyle, Jr. and wife, Regina Pyle, of Trinity, and son, Stacy Pyle and wife, Anna Pyle, of Apple Springs; brother, Ben Pyle and wife, Ellen Pyle, of Apple Springs; brother, D.L. Pyle and wife, Trudie Pyle, of Groveton; sister, Anzo Richardson and husband, Kent Richardson, of Lufkin; seven grandchildren, Nathan, Brandi, Starla, Brittany, Stephanie, Tiffany and Aaron; thirteen great grandchildren, Reagan, McKinley, Andrew, Taylor, Jayden, Dylan, Tanner, Parker, Abby, Colton, Rebecca, Hunter, Aden and one on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also survive.
