Funeral Services for Juanita Anderson, 83, of the Helmic Community, will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home. Interment will follow the services in Mt. Zion Cemetery. She will be escorted to her grave by her pallbearers, James Anderson, Chris Anderson, Phillip Davis, Ben Anderson, Bryant Chauvin, and Nick Zemko. Visitation for Mrs. Anderson will begin at 9:30 am on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Groveton Funeral Home until service time.
Mrs. Juanita Anderson was born October 23, 1931in Trevat, Texas to Elijah Morris and Sarah Anne (McDougald) Morris and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 2, 2015.
She graduated from Centerville ISD and went on to attend Business College. From there on she became a book keeper until her retirement. Mrs. Juanita was a strong hard working woman and did what she could to take care of her family. In between jobs, she worked at the Groveton Sewing factory. Juanita was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed her family, her friends, cooking, working in her yard and she loved being around people.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Morris and Sarah Morris; daughter, Sandra Mayberry; son, Timothy Anderson; and her brothers, Clifford Morris, Elijah Morris, Jr. and Paul Morris.
Her survivors include her daughters, Lesley White and Judith Anderson; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Minnie Adams; and a host of other loved ones and friends.
