Funeral services for Mrs. Joy Lea Jeffcote, 84 of Groveton, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home with HJ Billingsley and Johnathan Clark officiating. Interment will follow in East Prairie Cemetery in Possumwalk, Texas.
Joy was born January 29th, 1932 in Possumwalk, Texas and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 7th, 2016 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Abel and Milo Hathorn Lowery; her loving husband Floyd Edward Jeffcote; daughter Kelly Ann Collier; brother Leo Lowery; and three sisters Melba Due, Agnes Wars and JoAnn Wars.
Mrs. Jeffcote is survived by her son, Barry Jeffcote and wife Tracey of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Cody Jeffcote, Brock Jeffcote and Stacey Collier; brother Douglas Lowery of the Possumwalk community; sister Kathryn Antley and husband Bobby of Groveton and a host of nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and many friends.
