Joe Douglas Nash, Jr. was born on January 20, 1964 in Angleton, TX, the son of Joe Douglas Nash, Sr. and Anna "Marie" Anderson Nash and went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 20, 2018 in Katy, TX.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX.  Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton, TX.

Joe was a very hard worker and was employed with Academy Stores for over 30 years.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars or sprucing up his yard.  He loved spending time with his family and playing with his niece and nephews when they were younger, and he especially enjoyed raising his "fur-babies" his pet dogs. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and a friend to many.

Mr. Nash is preceded in death by his grandmother, Pearl Jones; grandfather, Tommy Jones; grandfather, Fred Anderson and his mother, Anna "Marie" Nash.  His survivors include his father, Joe Douglas Nash, Sr. and wife, Nancy Nash of Palestine, TX; sister, Melanie Painter and husband, David Painter of Groveton, TX; two nephews:  Aaron Painter and Alex Painter of Groveton, TX; niece, Jennifer Painter of Groveton, TX; great-niece, Amberlin Nash; and great-nephew, Callum Painter; a host of other relatives and friends also, survive.
