Joanna Lynn Jackson was born in Los Angeles, California on January 25,1957 and was called to her eternal home on August 1, 2020 in Crockett, Texas at the age of 63 years.

Joanna was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed painting pictures, doing crafts and being silly with her girls. She loved life and enjoyed traveling when she was younger. She was always a free-spirit and could always be found creating her own fun. She was a hard worker and did the best to take care of her family. She will be deeply missed.

Ms. Jackson is survived by her spouse, Carl Self; four loving daughters: Christine Garza, Amanda Anderson, Amy Anderson and Alyssa Jackson; grandchildren: Chase, Hannah, Kevin, Abby, Morgan, Noah, Zoey and Chevy; great grandchildren, Lila and Michael and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Zadie Jackson.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating.
