Funeral services for Jimmy "Bed Springs" Glenn Wells, 69, of Lufkin, formerly of Groveton will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bailey officiating. Interment will be in the Ivie Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Groveton Funeral Home.

Mr. Wells was born on January 18, 1946 in Kennard, Texas and went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 26, 2015 at his home in Lufkin. Jimmy loved driving a truck. He was known as "Bed Springs" on his CB handle. When he wasn't out on the road, he was enjoying spending time with his family. He could always be found out by the lake going fishing or camping. He is preceded in death by his wife, Arvie Cooksey Wells; daughter, Rose Marie Aguirre; parents, John Wells and Cornelia Wells; great granddaughter, Sophia Candanosa; brother, Howard Wells; (gossip buddy) brother-in-law, Jesse Cooksey; life-long friends, Jimmy Smith and Stu Pot Parker.

Jimmy is survived by his children, daughter, Peggy Denney and husband, Timothy "Bubba" Denney of Lufkin, daughter, Alice Barrios and husband, Robert Barrios of Lufkin, son, Bo Wells and wife, Janet Wells, of Lufkin, daughter, Shelia Horton and husband, James Horton of Lufkin, son, Jesse Cook and wife, Nancy Cook, of Trinity, daughter, Donna Conallis of Trinity, son, Johnny Cordova of San Jose, California; sister, Gladys Wells of Fresno, California; thirty-two grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hoyt Pitts and Sharon Pitts of Livingston, Thomas Durham and Helen Durham of Livingston, John Albright and Joan Albright of Trinity, Therman Wright and Lelia Wright of North Zulch, Bobby Cooksey and Raney Cooksey of Houston; life-long friend, Jake Stringer and numerous other relatives and friends.
