Obituary

Funeral Services for Jimmy Allen Grammer, 48, of Groveton, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating. Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m. in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Tyler County. Visitation for Mr. Grammer will begin at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Groveton Funeral Home.

Mr. Grammer was born on April 22, 1967 in Woodville, Texas to the late Larry Allen Grammer and Peggie (Fortenberry) Grammer and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas. Jimmy loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with all of his nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephews. He loved his cat named Carolyn and his dog named Red. His family and his pets were the joys in his life. He was an avid football fan and often could be found listening to his beloved Dallas Cowboys on the television or going to the Groveton Indian football games. He was a loving son, brother and uncle.

He is preceded in death by his father; infant sister, Cadra Grammer; grandfather, Archie Grammer and grandmother, Elsie Fortenberry.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Peggie Grammer, of Groveton, Texas; sister, Jenny Page and husband, Bobby, of Celina, Texas; sister, Beth Hill and husband, Larry, of Groveton, Texas; nephew, Mark Best; nephew, Larry Lyn Hill; niece, Mehgan Ibanez; nephew, Allen Klare; niece, Viktorya Hill; nephew, Cody Hill; great niece, Macy Klare; great nephew, Jax Ibanez; great nephew, Lucas Hill; great nephew, Blake Klare; special uncle, Melburn Minter, of Groveton, Texas; and a host of other loved ones and friends.
