Memorial Services for Jimmy Earl File, 64 of Groveton will be held at 11:00 am., Thursday, February 18th at the Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Groveton, Texas with Brother Lonnie Vallance officiating.

Jimmy was born on May 18th, 1951 in Vandalia, Illinois to the late Dallas and Dorothy (Smith) File. God called Mr. File home on Sunday, February 14th, 2016.
Mr. File joined the United States Marines in 1970 and served his time. When Mr. File was discharged from the Marines then he worked for numerous years as a truck driver. Jimmy loved to travel. In his spare time, he also enjoyed going outdoors and doing a little hunting or fishing. He moved to Groveton, Texas in 2012 and enjoyed being out in the country. Jimmy was a very loving son, father, brother and uncle. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Dorothy File and a sister, Sue File.
Mr. File is survived by his children: son, Jimmy File, Jr. of Groveton, Texas and daughter, Gayla File of Hudson, Texas; siblings: sister, Linda Blankhorn of Maine, sister, Dorothy Matthews of Huntington, Texas and sister, Rosie File of Greenville, Illinois, brother, Dallas File, Jr. of Greenville, Illinois, sister, Kathy Axom of Vandalia, Illinois, sister, Donna File of Sorento, Illinois and brother, Jerry File of Greenville, Illinois. Survivors also include his two grandsons, William Nash and Sean Nash, both of Hudson, Texas; numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
