Jessica Louise Williams, lovingly known as "Nana," was born on March 6, 1966, in Trinity, Texas, to the late Jessie T. and Flora Williams. She entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2025, in Groveton, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family.
Jessica's formal education began at Groveton High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1985. She had a deep love for sports, especially basketball, and carried that same fierce and competitive spirit into every aspect of her life. Later, she dedicated her time and heart to the Groveton Nursing Home, where she formed cherished memories with the residents she served, always cooking with love and care.
Above all else, Jessica's greatest joy was her family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved them with a fierce and protective devotion. She was strong, loyal, and deeply committed to those she held closest. Her love was unconditional, and her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Jessica leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Shirley Thomas Williams; the love of her life, Christopher Reece; children, Dewayne "Cord" Williams (Latiqua), Camille "Meme" Denning, and Marissa Williams; daughter-in-law, Julie Dial Williams; beloved grandchildren, aka Nana's Puddings, Jada Street, Jordan Williams, Khloe Moore, Aubrey Williams, Ava Williams, and Mia Williams; brothers, Delsriel Williams (Sicily), Elder Darell Williams (Cassie), Jessie Lee Williams, and Steven Thomas; sisters, Christine Williams and Ella Derry; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie T. and Flora Williams; her grandmother, Elizabeth Hoarce; her brother, Rodney Thomas; and her son, Marcus Dewayne Williams.
A celebration of Jessica's life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 12pm, Groveton, TX, Groveton High School Auditorium, with the Eulogy delivered by Elder Darell Williams, a Siblings' Tribute by Delsriel Williams, and a Special Prayer by Dr. Cassie J. Williams, Chaplain.
Jessica's life was a true testimony of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
