Jeffrey Charles Hord was born in Pasadena, Texas on February 18, 1964 to James and Judith Martin Hord.  He passed away on January 25, 2019 in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 54 years.

Jeffrey loved many things about his life, but his family was his greatest joy.  He enjoyed spending much of his time with his children and grandchildren.  He loved to be outdoors hunting, fishing and sitting on the porch picking his guitar.  Jeffrey loved music and he especially enjoyed singing to all his family and beloved friends.  He was a past member of Broadcasting Music Incorporated.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Jill Hord.  His survivors include his loving children:  son, John James Hord and wife, Allyson Hord of Jacksonville, TX, and daughter, Kelsi Joy Templeton and husband, Trevor Templeton of Tyler, TX; parents, James and Judith Hord of Groveton, TX; sister, Janet Lynn Bethea of Apple Springs, TX; grandchildren:  Coen Templeton, Weston Hord and Whitley Hord and nephew, River Hord of Groveton, TX and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Groveton Funeral Home with Pastors Rodney Langley and Neil Kemper officiating.
