Jeane Dove Burda passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on February 16, 2021 in Trinity, Texas. Jeane was born March 20, 1937 to Billie Richard Dove and Margery Rosser Dove. She attended school in Friday, Texas and moved to Galena Park and graduated from Galena Park High School. Later she met and married Matthew Alexander Burda. They moved back to Friday and ran a grocery store in Weldon, Texas for over 30 years. Jeane loved dancing with her husband to country gold music, entering BBQ contests and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After retirement from her business, she volunteered with the Senior Citizen Center in Groveton, Texas. She loved to be able to help people and in her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with her dog, "Dottie".
Mrs. Burda is preceded in death by her parents, Billie and Margery Rosser Dove; husband, Matthew Alexander Burda and brothers: Kenneth Dove, Lenard Dreymala of Houston, TX, Kenneth Dreymala of Victoria, TX; stepfather, Standley Dreymala of Pasadena, TX.
She is survived by her children: son, Richard Burda of Friday, TX; daughter, Robin Dobbs and husband, Buddy Dobbs of Trinity, TX; sister, Linda Tschoepe and husband, James of Pearland, TX; brother, James Dreymala and wife, Elaine of Pasadena, TX; grandchildren: Brent Garrison and wife, Kandice, Seth Garrison, Amanda Bailey and husband, Alex, Chance Dobbs and wife, Ashli, Jordan Dobbs and wife, Keri; great-grandchildren: Millie and Haylee Garrison, Makala Davis, Abigail, Mason, and Grayson Bailey, Shayla, Connor, and Duncan Dobbs, and Cody Dobbs; and a host of other relatives and friends, also survive.
Visitation for Mrs. Jeane Dove Burda will begin at 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 22, 2021 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating. Interment Ellis Prairie Cemetery in Groveton, TX.
