James Curtis Neal was born in Big Sandy, TX to Carl Neal and Patricia Griffith Pender on December 2,1957 and was called to his eternal home on June 30, 2020 in Groveton, TX.
James was a wonderful husband and a devoted father. He loved his family and often enjoyed giving advice whether it was wanted or not. He was known for his wonderful "storytelling" and his romantic gestures by sending his loving wife flowers every Valentine's day. He enjoyed watching cooking shows and listening to 1310 "the ticket". He was a sports fanatic and he especially enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboy football games.
Mr. Neal is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Neal of Mineola, TX; children: son, Robbie Neal and wife, Sandi of Oklahoma; son, Michael Neal of California; daughter, Jennifer Edwards and husband, Aaron of Texas; daughter, Kim Province and husband, Markell of Texas; step-son, Buck Steen and wife, Amber of Texas; step-daughter, Michelle Graham and husband, Stephen of Texas; father, Carl Neal of Arkansas; brother, Robert Neal of Texas; grandchildren: Elijah, Josiah, Rhemah, Sarah, Jordan, Heather, Elizabeth, Emma, Hailee, Zeke, Ethan, Logan, Keegan, Rylan and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Pender.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX on Friday, July 3, 2020.
