Jackie Ray Edwards, 79 years 8 months and 2 days, of Crockett, formerly of Apple Springs, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2017 in Crockett.  Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 2:30 PM in the Burketown Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas with Mac A. Edwards officiating.

Jackie was born February 07, 1938 in Centralia, Texas in Trinity County the son of Arlin Edwards and Jeanette (Tullos) Edwards.  Mr. Edwards lived in Trinity County most of his life.  He graduated high school in Apple Springs, Texas the class of 1956.  He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the years of 1960-1964.  He worked as a truck driver for most of his adult life until retirement.  He was a member of Church of Christ.

Mr. Edwards is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James E. Edwards and brother-in-law, Jerry Mac Luce.  Survivors include his ex-wife, Alice and Burke; daughters:  Owena Jean Pachicano, Judith Ann Branch, Vickie Gale Dorsett, Elizabeth Rachel Beyer; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers:  Jerry K. Edwards and wife, Bridgett of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mack A. Edwards and wife, Carrol of Centralia, Texas; sister, Rebecca Ann Luce of Lufkin, Texas; as well his many beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
