Jack Choice Freeman, Jr. was born on December 20, 1943 in Houston, TX, the son of Jack Freeman, Sr. and Daphnal (Tullos) Freeman and passed away peacefully on April 8, 2018 in Huntsville, TX.
"Jackie" graduated from Groveton High School, Class of 1962. He loved sports and played both, football and baseball during season. He also loved being outdoors and working with wildlife. He was active through the youth program in school such as FFA. Upon graduating high school, "Jackie" joined the United States Army and served to help protect our nation. Later he moved to Pasadena and worked in security. He lived in the Pasadena and Deer Park areas for most of his adult life. He and the love of his life, Vickie later moved to the Cleveland area where they raised their daughter. In 2006, "Jackie" retired and decided to move back home to Trinity County. He loved the farm life and couldn't wait to get back to what he knew best. He was a loving husband, father, son and grandfather who will be missed dearly.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Groveton with Rev. Jack McMahon officiating. Interment will follow in Thornton Cemetery in Trinity, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Daphnal Freeman. His survivors include his loving wife, Vickie Freeman of Trinity, TX; daughter, Sandy King of Splendora, TX; grandson, Drew King of San Marcos, TX; granddaughter, Caitlin King of Huntsville, TX; brothers: Raymond Freeman of Houston, TX, Gene Freeman of Trinity, TX, Ronnie Cannon of Point Blank, TX and Roy Cannon and wife, Carla Cannon of Friday, TX and a host of other relatives and friends also, survive.
