Graveside services for Irene Hearrell, 77 of Lufkin will be held Thursday, March 17th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas. Reverend Horace Fletcher will officiate. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16th, 2016 at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas.
Irene was born on June 6th, 1938 in Westville, Texas to Lewis E. Christmas and Floy (Bentley) Christmas. God called Mrs. Hearrell home on Monday, March 14th, 2016 in Lufkin, Texas.
Irene loved all of her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed sitting down and reading novels. Mrs. Hearrell was a member of Red Town Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Floy Christmas; her husband, EN Hearrell; a sister, Elaine Menk and her four brothers, Earl, James, Robert and Walter Christmas.
Mrs. Hearrell is survived by her loving children: daughter, Robbie Morton of Nacogdoches, Texas, daughter, Donna Pyle and husband Michael Pyle of Apple Springs, Texas and son, Joe Kubiak of Lufkin, Texas; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Avey Shuttle of Lufkin and a host of other relatives and friends.
