Funeral Services for Hoytt H. Thompson, 105 of Groveton, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 3, 2011 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery in Friday, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. Pallbearers are L. E. Thompson "Shorty", W.A. "Butch" Thompson, Lawrence "Ray" Thompson, Kirk Thompson, Cory Thompson, and Andy Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers are Tom Thompson, Terry Haley, Mac Stevenson, Stan Thompson, and Billy Perkins.

Hoytt was born October 8, 1905 to the late William Asa Thompson and Lottie Standley Thompson in Friday, Texas and passed away February 26, 2011 in Crockett, Texas.

He is survived by his son, Charles Thompson of Concrete, Washington, daughter, Linda Thompson of Groveton, Texas, daughter-in-law, Jeanne Thompson of Athens, Texas, grandchildren, Rick and Lori Gabrielson of Westminister, Colorado, Tim Thompson of Seattle, Washington, Michael and Nikki Thompson of Auburn, Washington, Sammy and Sharon Dial of Groveton, Texas, Tracy Thompson of Athens, Texas, Tony and Christy LeBlanc of Groveton, Texas, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
