Helen Leota Jones, 98, of Conroe, Texas passed away on December 4, 2019 at her home in Conroe, Texas. She was born on May 6, 1921 in Hodges, Texas to Henry and Eufa (Green) Regeon. She graduated from High School and then went on to attend beauty school where she obtained her certification to be a hairstylist. Helen later met and married the love of her life, Oamer Jones while he was serving in the military in Abilene, Texas. Helen loved being a wife and a mother. She always worked hard to take care of her family and they were her top priority. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and enjoyed taking her family to church to learn about God. She was a past member of First Baptist Church of Groveton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Oamer Jones; daughter, Brenda Kay Spicer; father, Henry Edgar Regeon; mother, Eufa Regeon; and two siblings: Dawson Green "DG" Regeon and Ava Nell Cooley. Her survivors include her children: son, Ronald Wayne Jones of Missouri; son, Gary Oamer Jones and wife, Yvonne Hart Jones of Webster, TX; daughter, Donna Lynn Jones of Groveton, TX and son, David Michael Jones of Groveton, TX; sister, Elizabeth Ann Siewert of Abilene, TX; five grandchildren: Daniel, Kattie, Adam, Matthew and Tad; seven great grandchildren: Shelby, Ryan, Reed, Hannah, Lainey, Addison, Matix; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also survive.
Visitation will be held at Oaklawn Baptist Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 with Bro. Lester McAdams officiating. Burial services will follow at Bennett Cemetery.
