Gordon Hooker, age 80, of Groveton, Texas, completed his earthly journey and went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 15, 2014 in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 20, 1933 in Galveston, Texas, to his parents, Dan S. Hooker and Bertha (Anderson) Weatherford. Gordon was a kind and gentle spirit. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. Gordon retired as a credit manager and later became involved with a home based floral business.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Gordon will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11:30 AM, in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating.

He is preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include his daughter, Donna Schultz and husband Blake, of Sugar Land, Texas; son, Brent Hooker, of Denver, Colorado; grandson, Connor Schultz, of Sugar Land, Texas; mother of his children, Beth Hooker, of Houston, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
