Glenda Faye Ringo Jones was one of five children born on August 28, 1938 in Houston, TX to Clyde Benjamin Ringo and Gladys Richardson Ringo. She was called to her eternal home on August 26, 2020 in Lufkin, TX at the age of 81 years.

Glenda enjoyed growing up in the country and loved to ride horses. She was a past graduate from Groveton High School the class of 1956 where she was a cheerleader. She was extremely popular with her fellow classmates and enjoyed making many friendships throughout her adult life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known as "Gram" by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Glenda was a very independent woman and worked hard to provide for her family. Her children said, "they couldn't have been blessed with a better mother, grandmother and great grandmother." She surpassed many things in her life and made many sacrifices to make sure that they always had what they needed. She was also a past member of the Go Texan Rodeo committee and enjoyed being a cowgirl.

Ms. Jones is survived by her two loving children: daughter, Simone Jones Rice of Huntington, TX, son, Billy Darryl Jones and wife, Keena of Channelview, TX; granddaughter, Christy Rice Clifton and husband, Josh of Huntington, TX; grandson, Anthony Dwayne Rice of Lufkin, TX; great grandchildren: Cash, Cadyn, Kaitlyn, and Kaylee Clifton of Huntington, TX; brother, Glenn Ringo of Groveton, TX; special nephew, Keith Kesinger of Groveton, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Gladys Ringo; sisters: Geraldine Ringo Kesinger and Earline Ringo Jones; brother, Edwin Ringo.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Groveton Funeral Home with Anthony Dwaye Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, TX.
