George Edmon Tipton, of Chita, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the age of seventy-two, peacefully. George was born on April 16, 1950, in Baytown, Texas to father, Kinley Tipton and mother, Myrtle Rae (Bailey) Tipton.

Edmon enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edmon married the love of his life in December 3,1982. He enjoyed horse riding, hunting, and volunteering at Liberty Christian Center. Edmon never met a stranger: he enjoyed meeting and talking to knew people. Edmon also enjoyed collecting knives and guns.

Edmon leaves behind to cherish his memories: his loving wife, of 39 years, Carol Tipton; daughters: Stephanie Moore, Ashley Tipton, Stacie Woodrick and husband, Chancey; son: Kinley Tipton and Pamela Hill; grandchildren: Breanna Martinez, Mason Moore, Kayce Goyens, Whitney Gregory, Savannah Woodrick, Olivia Tipton, and Elias Tipton; great grandchildren: Braylee Goyens, Rhett Goyens, Maddy Moore, Ally Moore, Clayton Gregory, and Addison Martinez; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family, and friends also survive.

Edmon is preceded in death by his loving parents, Kinley and Rae Tipton; brother, Douglas Tipton; sister: Brenda Dowlearn; and son-in-law Clifford Moore.

Visitation will be held at Groveton Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 26,2022 from 6-89pm.A Memorial Service will be held at Liberty Christian Center in Trinity on Friday, July 29,2022 at 6:00p.m.
