Obituary

Frank Norman Hyman was born on January 13, 1943, in Slaton, Texas to Luther and Lizzie B Hyman and passed away on February 7, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas at the age eighty-two years old.

Frank was a farmer in his earlier years than later became a truck driver. He moved his family to east Texas where he became an owner operator of a log truck and remained a truck driver until his retirement.

Frank loved hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening.  He was known for his greens he raised yearly. He also had a special ability to work on mechanical equipment.

Frank graduated from Smyer High School as a member of the Class of 1962.  Later in life he met the love of his life, Linda and they married on February 29, 1964, at a small church in Shallowater Texas.  Together they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.

Frank is preceded in death by his father, Luther Nathaniel Hyman; Mother Lizzie B Hyman; and infant brother, Charles Hyman.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Hyman from Apple Springs, Texas; his son, Kenneth Hyman and wife Angie of Apple Springs, Texas; his brother, Harold Hyman of Dimmit Texas; brothers in law and sisters in law: Jim Poehl and wife Oneita of Lubbock, and Ray Poehl and wife Carol of Granbury, and his grandchildren: Kory Blake Hyman and wife Heather of Hitchcock, Texas; Johnny Garza of Houston, Texas; Greg Garza and his wife Gabby of Houston, Texas; Adriana Medina and her husband Fernando of Manvel, Texas. Great-grandchildren: Lori Garza, Damian Garza, Jordan Jaquez, Nathan Garza, King Araiza, Harper Hyman, Julissa Garza and Kamryn Hyman.  And a host of friends and family.

The family will welcome visitors on Friday, February 14, 2025, for graveside visitation beginning at 1:00PM at Bennett Cemetery, followed by funeral services at 2:00PM at Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to you and for the staff of Hospice in the Pines Inpatient Unit for their compassionate care and support during this challenging times.
