Floyd J. Kubiak age 85 of Houston was born on March 19, 1928 in Bremond, Texas to his parents, Martin J. Kubiak and Katherien (Skobliniak) Kubiak Patke. He served in the United States Army in the 1950's and fought in the Korean War. Upon release from the military, he worked for numerous years at a packing house company until he retired. He moved to Apple Springs, Texas in September of 2013 to be closer to some of his family. He passed away on October 16, 2013 at a hospital in Lufkin, Texas. Floyd was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucille Kubiak; brothers, Marion, Tommy Kubiak and Louis Kubiak; sisters, Mary Goode, Christine and Dorothy. His survivors include his three children, Robbie Morton, of Nacogdoches, Texas, Donna Pyle and husband, Michael, of Apple Springs, Texas and Joe Kubiak, of Hudson, Texas; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Felix Kubiak; sisters, Gertrude, Frances and Agnes. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services for Floyd J. Kubiak will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Houston National Veterans Association Cemetery in Houston, Texas with honors being provided by the United States Army Honor Guard. He will be escorted to his final resting place in the Houston National VA Cemetery in Houston by his pallbearers James Kubiak, Scott Morton, Danny Russell and his honorary pallbearer Ashyton Redd.
