Evie Janell "Jenny" Magee passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, in Groveton, Texas, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. Born on December 20, 1942, in Orange, Texas, to Jinx and Lessie Gibbons Wilson, Jenny lived a full and joyful life marked by love, music, laughter, and service to others.

Family was at the heart of Jenny's life. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her love extended far beyond her family, as she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Jenny loved to sing and, in her younger years, shared her gift of music while singing in a group with her sisters. She also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool. A talented and accomplished player, she was a member of the BAC Pool League, where she was ranked among its top competitors. Whether she was singing, enjoying the outdoors, playing a game of pool, or gathering with loved ones, Jenny brought warmth and spirit to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Magee; her parents, Jinx and Lessie Wilson; her son, James Ray Due; her sisters, Joy Lear Snyder and Florine Davis; and her brother, Sammy Wilson.

Jenny is survived by her daughters, Belinda Miles and husband Jim, Cinda Norsworthy and husband David, Pam Kemper, and Brenda Calahan and husband Dennis; her sister, Sylverene Davis; and her grandchildren, Melissa Nicole Williford and husband Adam, John Clifford Parker, Jennifer Megan Davis and husband Donny Shane, Crystal Due Burris, Niki Parks and husband Tommy, Michael Hughes and wife Whitley, Tia King and husband Junior, Amy Cleaver and husband Chancy, Amada Wallace and husband Michael, Erica Milner and husband Josh, Amber Gentry and husband Devin, Tera Furrh and husband Ty, and Kyle Parrish.

She also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Groveton Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., with "Jimmy" James Due officiating. Interment will follow at Pennington Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Hayden Dial, Weston Dial, Cade James, Kadon Parker, Tucker Ellis, and James Scroggins. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Fortenberry and Joe Scott Evans.

Jenny's life was filled with love for her family, compassion for others, music, adventure, and many treasured memories. Her loving spirit will live on in the generations she leaves behind and in the hearts of all who knew her.
