The Good Lord needed a most special angel on March 14 ^th . Evelena Mericle Blue died peacefully in Crockett, Texas.

Evelena was born on August 17, 1929 at her family home in Possum Walk, Texas.  She attended and graduated from high school in Pennington, Texas.  She loved the Lord and was active within the church.  She was a very hard-working woman.
After her parents passed away, she continued to help raise her two younger sisters, Agnes and Sue.  Later she married Oran Blue and they lived in Mesquite, Texas for many years.  She moved back to Groveton, Texas after her husband passed and continued to take care of her sister, Agnes Mericle.

Mrs. Blue was preceded in death by her wonderful parents that anyone in this world could possibly have, Ernestine West and William Wyatt Mericle; loving husband, Oran Blue; brothers, Leonard, Glenn and Joe Mericle; sisters, Agnes and Sue Mericle.

Her survivors include her brother: Wayne Mericle and wife, Llana Jean; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also survive.

Graveside service for Evelena Blue will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the East Prairie Cemetery in Possum Walk, Community.
