Obituary

Era Belle "Susie" Coull 87, was born March 23, 1930 to Henry and Pearl Thompson. God called Mrs. Coull home in heaven on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 to have her Valentine's date and be reunited with her true love.

Susie graduated from Groveton High School and moved to Houston to work for Lloyd's Insurance Agency.  She was a member of the Women's Missionary Union, Women's Business Association and the Japonica Garden Club. She loved to entertain and be around people. Susie also owned a women's clothing store in Seguin called Susie's.  She used her store to help run the Miss South Texas Pageant.

Susie and Chuck moved to Friday in the early 80's where they built their new home on the family land.  They took over the Friday Store from Uncle Marion and ran it for years.  She started Friday's first Garden Club and was very active in the Friday Community Center.  She always made it to church every Sunday and was very active within the church.

She loved sitting on the front porch with Chuck drinking coffee and watching the traffic flow up and down the road.  Waiting for her brothers to drive up and visit.  Family coming up and visiting was one of her favorite times.  Cooking for all the family and sitting around the table visiting and eating great southern food. She loved playing dominos with the grandkids and 42 with her brothers.

She always wanted her grandkids to stay with her, so they could either help her cook, play games and tell stories.  She loved having her grandkids around her anytime she could.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery in Friday, Texas.  Visitation will be held beginning at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018
