Funeral Services for Edna Dale Carlton, age 70, of Groveton, Texas will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM in First Baptist Church in Groveton, Texas with Bro. Lewis Jones, Bro. Lester McAdams, and Bro. Curtis Jordan officiating. A private interment will follow. Visitation is Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Groveton Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Paul Martin, Jerry Perkins, Carl Perkins, Donald Wilson, Charles Chandler, Leslie Kilgore. Honorary Pallbearers are Harlon Parrish, Willie Brooks, Earl Cadenhead, Brandt Burleson, Milt Purvis, Bobby Reed, Doug Page, Sam Carlton, Tiger Worsham, Jack Vickers, Mike Hales.

She was born July 16, 1941 in Polk County, Texas to Easton Frank Perkins and Jewel Massey Perkins and went to be with her Lord and savior on September 11, 2011 in Lufkin, Texas. Preceded in death by First Husband, G.W. Smith, Father, Easton Perkins, and Brother, Bobby Perkins.

Survivors include Billy Carlton, husband, of Groveton, Texas, Brenda and Eddie Van Amtwerp, daughter and son-in-law, of Houston, Texas, Lisa and Kevin McCollum, daughter and son-in-law, of Corrigan, Texas, Travis and Kim Smith, son and daughter-in-law, of Corrigan, Texas, Carl Perkins, brother, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Jerry Perkins, brother, of Atoka, Oklahoma, Linda Parrish, sister, of Corrigan, Texas, Jewel Perkins, mother, of Corrigan, Texas, grandchildren, Ethan Van Antwerp, Elijah Van Antwerp, Andy McCollum and wife Courtney, and Emily Smith, great granddaughter, Kaylee McCollum, nieces, Amy Kilgore and Kasey Perkins, great nephews, Jackson Kilgore and Cooper Kilgore, step son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Tammy Carlton, of Trevat, Texas, step grandchildren, Ben, Corey, and Alison Carlton. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

In Lieu of Flowers the family requests that memorials be made in honor of Edna Dale Carlton to Trinity County American Cancer Society or to Hospice in the Pines.
