Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Rice of Hilltop Lakes will be held on Monday at 1:00 P.M. at the Groveton Funeral Home with interment in the Ivie Cemetery.
Mrs. Rice was born on June 17, 1927 in Woden, Texas to Oscar Wesley and Marlin Melittia "Hill" Anderson and passed away on May 16, 2013 at the age of 85.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Raymond Rice, her parents, Brother Tommy R. Anderson and sister Nell Aiken.
Edith is survived by 3 sons: Dr. Don Rice and wife Cheryl of Palestine, Texas, Dr. John F> Rice of Houston and Dr. Richard M. Rice and wife Lesa of Irving and one daughter Karen Sue Rice of Houston; 10 Grandchildren; 1 great Grandson; Sister Marty Jacobs & husband Rudy; Sister in law Brenda Anderson; Brother in Law Dr. Tom Rice & wife Geniece; sister in law Mary Rice.
