Funeral services for Earline Ringo Jones, age 79, of Pearland, formerly of Groveton, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas with Pastor Steve Barley officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas.

Ms. Jones was born December 23, 1935 in Harris County, Texas and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Groveton, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. Earline was a hardworking and very independent woman. She worked as a clerk for the District Court system for over twenty years as well as a receptionist for Hermann Hospital in the intensive care unit. She was a very nurturing person and gave what she could to numerous charities. She served as a Lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Committee. Earline loved being a country girl and getting dressed up to go out dancing to Country and Western music. She was proud to say that she grew up in Groveton, Texas and attended Groveton High School where she served as a past cheerleader. She loved the Lord and read her bible daily. When she attended church services, she was proud to be able to attend at Glory Land Church. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Clyde and Gladys Ringo; her son, Billy Calvin Jones; and her baby sister, Geraldine Ringo Kesinger.

Surviving family members that will cherish her memories are her daughter, Carolyn Johnson, of Cleveland, Texas; grandson, Douglas Johnson and wife, Christina, of Big Pine Key, Florida; great granddaughter, Chloe Louise Johnson, of Big Pine Key, Florida; sister, Glenda Jones, of Groveton, Texas; two brothers, Edwin Ringo, of Trinity, Texas and Glen Ringo, of Groveton, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also survive.
