Dorthy Louise Luce Warren was born in Apple Springs, Texas on July 17, 1936 to Archie Lee Luce and Pearline Hathorn Luce. She passed away on January 18, 2019 in Kingwood, Texas at the age of 82 years.
Mrs. Warren was a wonderful woman who loved to live life to its fullest. She loved many things about her life, but her family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed spending much of her time with her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. Dorthy loved to help people. She enjoyed being able to give back to those who needed the extra help. She also enjoyed going outdoors and doing a little fishing as well as sitting down and working on her embroidery skills. She loved the Lord and read her bible faithfully.
Dorthy is preceded in death by her parents, Archie Luce and Pearline Hathorn Luce; husband, Steve Edward Warren; son, Steve Edmon Warren; brother, RL Luce; sisters, Betty Jones and Virginia Odom and a grandson, Stephen Tate. Her survivors include her loving children: son, Rex Warren and wife, Delia of Porter, TX; daughter, Patricia Jones and husband, Charles Jones of Livingston, TX; siblings: sister, Marie Prothro and husband, Seldon of Centralia, TX; sister, Elaine Rooney of Nogalus Prairie, TX; sister, Darlene Whittlesey and husband, James Whittlesey of Nogalus Prairie, TX; brother, David Luce and wife, Polly Luce of Glendale, TX; brother, Danny Luce and wife, Eva Luce of Lufkin, TX; grandchildren: Rusty Warren, Ryan Warren, Damas Warren, Dustin Warren, Charlie Jones, Patrick Jones, and Misty Jones; seven great grandchildren and a host of special nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church of Nogalus Prairie. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. James Whittlesey officiating services. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Nogalus Prairie, TX.
