Services for Doris Vivian Kesinger, 88, of Groveton, will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home with Brother Buford Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton, Texas.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Groveton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kesinger was born October 10, 1928 in Groveton, Texas the daughter of Henry Thomas Howell and Edna Ann (Skidmore) Howell and went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Kesinger was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.  She was an accomplished seamstress, quilt maker and artist.  She enjoyed arts and crafts.  She was a member of Josserand Baptist Church.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Lonnie Patrick, Jr. and Sharron Kesinger of Groveton, son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Shirley Kesinger of Groveton, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Wba Kesinger of Rosenbergh, son James Kesinger of Groveton, son and daughter-in-law Keith Kesinger and Jerrie Moore of Groveton; sister Tommie Ann Smith of Pollock; sixteen grandchildren:  Lonnie Patrick Kesinger, III, Joe Kesinger, Jennifer Kesinger, Rebecca Cockrell, Lee Ann Thompson, Stefanie Mochman, Teri Thompson, Alexis Kesinger, Shannon Gresch, Andy Kesinger, Leah Minter, Raymond Carriveau, Derek Kesinger, Cameron Kesinger, Chance Morris, Meagan Morris; twenty-one great grandchildren:  Heather Stutesman, Joe Kesinger, Jr., Lane Kesinger, Tucker Cockrell, Kolton Thompson, Bobby Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Brooke Mochman, Christis Mochman, Logan Hall, Briston Hall, Kiowa Gross, Lakota Gross, Grayson Gresch, Mikah Kesinger, Mikah Jean Kesinger, Kutter Minter, Joseph Carriveau, Selene Carriveau, Faith Carriveau, Cameron Morris; three great-great grandchildren:  Liam Stutesman, Sahara Stutesman, Chase Thompson as well his many beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Kesinger is preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Patrick Kesinger, Sr.; father Henry Thomas Howell; mother Edna Ann (Skidmore) Howell; son Dale Ray Kesinger; grandson Christopher Kesinger; brother John Robert Howell and brother Billy Kelton Howell.
