Deann Michelle (Chometa) Montgomery, of Groveton, was born on February 15, 1962, to Edwin Chometa and Anna Marie (Meroney) Chometa in Houston, Tx and passed away peacefully to her eternal home in heaven on January 19, 2022, at the age of 59 years in New Mexico.

Deann loved to be outdoors. She enjoyed painting, doing artwork, collecting arrowheads, and spending time with her family and friends. Deann loved the Lord, and she knew Jesus was her Lord and Savior. She loved going and riding in the truck over the road with her loving husband. Deann was raised in Tarkington, TX. She graduated from Tarkington High School and went on to attend and graduate collage. She married the love of her life Mike Montgomery 21 years ago. She attended the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church.

Deann is survived by her loving husband: Mike Montgomery of Groveton, children: son, Thomas Lee Yarbrough of Splendora, son, Conner Lee Montgomery of Groveton, son, Chad Everett Montgomery of Groveton; father: Edwin Chometa;; sister: Shari Krolick; brothers: Vince Chometa, Mike Chometa, Larry Chometa; sister: Jody Emmons, grandchildren: T.J. Yarbrough, Aubrey Yarbrough, Cody Yarbrough, Tinsley Green, Tyler Green, Tatum Green, Tatum Green, Jasper Montgomery, Phoenix Montgomery, Danny Montgomery, Charlie Balser; and a host of  Nieces, Nephews and other relatives, and friends also survive.

Deann is preceded in death by her mother: Anna Marie Few; stepfather: Ricky Few; grandmother: DeVota Meroney.

The family will welcome visitors beginning, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 pm at the Calvary Assembly of God with Bro. Lonnie Vallance officiating.
