David Allen Mueller of Groveton, formerly of Splendora, Texas was born on September 1,1958 in Houston, TX to the late Henry Norman Mueller and Louise (Hickman) Mueller and went to his eternal home on May 21,2021 at the age of 62 years in Houston, TX.
Mr. Mueller worked and retired from Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He later worked for both Trinity County Courthouse systems and for the Groveton Independent School District. He always enjoyed working. David also loved serving his community volunteering for the local Fire Department. He was a past fire chief for Splendora VFD and Groveton VFD. He also was a past member of the Groveton City Council, Deacon of First Baptist Church of Groveton and a church camp nurse for twenty-one years. David enjoyed helping the community as well as the children of the community. He loved helping fundraising for toys for tots, hunting, fishing, playing dominoes and spending time with his family and friends. He loved to make people laugh and to cheer them up when they were down. He was also known by his family as the local "snake wrangler." He really enjoyed catching snakes.
Mr. Mueller is survived by his loving wife, Roxie Mueller of Groveton, TX; Daughter, Amanda Mueller of Houston, TX; Foster Daughter, Dana Whitworth of Groveton, TX; Sister, Shirley Crow and husband, Don of Fort Worth, TX; Sister, Debbie Everitt and husband, Gary of Huntsville, TX; Sister, Carla King and husband, John of The Woodlands, TX; Sister-in-law, Toni Mueller of Porter, TX; Brother-in-law, Windle Robbins of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Henry Norman Mueller and Louise Mueller; Brother, Henry "Bubba" Norman Mueller, Jr. and Brother, Rickie Mueller.
Funeral services will begin Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Groveton First Baptist Church in Groveton, TX with Bro. Tom Dixon officiating, and Bro. Matt Sharrock assisting. Burial will follow in Flat Prairie Cemetery in Groveton, TX. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Groveton beginning at 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
