David Farell Kirby was born in Kountze, Texas on January 28, 1959 to Kenneth Kirby and Alice Garrie Kirby. He passed away on December 9, 2018 in Corrigan, Texas at the age of 59 years.
David was an extremely hard worker and loved to live his life to its fullest. He started out employed with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and worked with the department for numerous years. He later started working in the logging industry and enjoyed learning new skills or traits that pertained to the field. He really and truly was known as a "jack of all trades." He loved to learn something new every day. He loved the Lord and was a firm believer in Christ and sharing his faith. He belonged as a member of River of Life Church in Trinity, TX and attended services until it became too difficult to attend. He was also a Master Mason.
Mr. Kirby is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Alice Kirby; sisters-in-law: Anita Morris and Lulu Anderson. His survivors include Martha Tipton Kirby; daughter, Paula Cavness and husband, Clay; sons: Phillip Kirby, Troy Kirby and Shan' Kirby; sisters: Linda Samford and Phyllis Martin; brother, Kenny Kirby; grandchildren: Bailie Cavness and Case Cavness; and a host of special nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives and friends.
