Visitation for David Wayne Ebarb, age 46 of Groveton will begin Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. until funeral service time at 2:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Goins officiating. Interment will follow in Ellis Prairie Cemetery in Friday.

David Wayne Ebarb passed from this world to Jesus Christ's side in heaven October 12, 2023, surrounded by his family.  David Wayne was born March 29, 1977, in Lufkin, Texas. He was the son of Joe Ebarb and Lynn Sampert.
David's hobbies and pursuits were spending time with family, fishing, sports, and living life to its fullest. David loved watching his high school alma mater Groveton Indian football and the Texas Aggies. He loved to tell jokes and making people laugh. David graduated from Groveton High School in the class of 1995 and went on to further his education at Angelina College where he received his associate degree and then finished college online with Phoenix. David majored in sports medicine.
David Wayne is survived by his mother, Lynn Sampert of Groveton, TX; parents, Joe and Michelle Ebarb of Groveton, TX; brother, Tanner Ebarb; grandmother, Lila Gressett; grandparents, Bennie and Linda Lee; uncles and aunts:  David and Terry Dove, Gayle Martin, Lisa and Darrel Whitten, Kenny and Paige Dove, Sue Ann Meshell, Becky and Craig Terpstra; cousins: Jason, Mandy and Brendon Flinn, and Taylor and Ryan Smith and a host of other relatives and friends, also survive.
David is preceded in death by his sister, Lynnett Ebarb; grandfathers: Kenneth Dove and J.C. Meshell; grandmother, Margie Meshell; uncles: Linky Meshell and Jimmy Ebarb.
