On May 4, 2024, David Lee Dove went home to be with the Lord at the age of 61.

David was born on January 17, 1963, to Kenneth Wayne Dove and Lila (Brooks) Gressett, in Houston, Texas. He enjoyed spending time with the love of his life. He and Terrie were wed on April 22, 1995. They spent 29 years together. He also loved being outdoors where he could hunt and fish. He worked for TDC for many years. He graduated from Groveton High School and finished schooling at Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas.

David was preceded in death by his father: Kenneth Wayne Dove; nephew: David Wayne Ebarb; niece: Lynnett Ebarb; mother-in-law: Billie Goodrum and father-in-law: Jesse Goodrum

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years: Terrie Dove; son: Jason Hardy and Leslie; daughters: Jessica Hardy and Nicole Hardy; mother: Lila Gressett; sisters: Lynn Sampert and Gail Martin; grandchildren: Jacob, Harley, Maci, Tyler, Ethan, Tori, Samantha, Isabella, Ashtyn, Addison and Ansley Jo; great granddaughter: Kensley; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also survive.

Death leaves a memory no one can heal. But love leaves a memory no one can steal. He will always be loved and missed dearly by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton. Burial will follow in Ellis Prairie Cemetery in Friday, Texas.
