Graveside services for Mrs. Cora Mae Rosser Threadgill McMurray, 88 of Houston, formerly of the Friday Community will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15th, 2016 in Ellis Prairie Cemetery in Friday, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday morning at Groveton Funeral Home beginning at 10:00a.m. until noon.
Cora was born April 1st, 1928 in Friday, Texas and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 6th, 2016 in the Woodlands, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Gladys Rosser; her husband Dale McMurray and two brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her children: son Thomas Wade Threadgill and wife Mary Jo of Montgomery, Texas, daughter Belinda Joan Taylor and husband Harold of Spring, Texas, son Michael Allen Threadgill of Flager Beach, Florida, daughter Sandra Kay Threadgill of Houston, Texas, son Wade Alexander Threadgill and wife Sharlyn of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren: Forrest Threadgill, Morgan Threadgill, Raul Garcia, Patty Perkins, Stephen Taylor and Scott Taylor; five great grandchildren: Amanda Perkins, Westin Perkins, Tollivar Taylor, Morgan Taylor, and Dylan Garcia; two sisters June Simpson of Texas City, Texas and Sally Frierson of Austin, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
