Cootsie Williamson, age ninety, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1935, and lived a long, beautiful life filled with family, faith, and love. Cootsie was known for her warm heart, giving spirit, and the way she treasured the people around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Williamson; her brothers, Orvill Allen McMullen, Billy Baford McMullen, and Jerry Lynn McMullen; her sister, Tinkey Andrews; and her granddaughter, Johnna Aliss Williamson.
Cootsie is survived by her children: John Allen Williamson and wife, Connie, of Nogalus Prairie; Sandy Bennett of Nogalus Prairie; LaWanda Williamson of Nogalus Prairie; Diane Clonts and husband, Timothy, of Huntington.
She leaves behind her grandchildren: Jason Williamson and wife, Amanda; Kim Cobb; Donny Shane Davis and wife, Megan; Jarred Clonts and wife, Sasha; John Wesley Davis and wife, Amber; and Caleb Clonts and wife, Sonia; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whom she loved dearly.
Cootsie cherished her family more than anything else. She especially loved gatherings at the farm, where laughter, food, and fellowship filled her heart. She was an exceptional cook—especially known for her baking—and she enjoyed canning, gardening, and traveling. She loved her husband most of all, and together they built a lifetime of memories after marrying on December 15, 1950, in Houston, Texas.
She was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church and lived her faith with grace and devotion.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Minister Nathan Davis officiating.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Cootsie will be deeply missed for her gentle strength, her kindness, and the love she poured into her family. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
