Obituary

Clifford Burnett Moore, of the Possumwalk Community of Groveton, Texas, was born on October 10, 1973, to Billy Wayne Moore and Delores (Reynolds) Moore in Trinity, Texas and passed away peacefully to his eternal home in heaven on November 30, 2021, at the age of 48 years at his home.

Cliff graduated from Groveton High School Class of 1992 and married his high school sweetheart, Stephanie Tipton. He and Steph had two beautiful children together and have been married for 29 years. Cliff worked as a lineman for the Houston County Electric Company for 22 years. He had the biggest heart in the world. He loved everyone and never met a stranger. He was very dedicated to his wife and family, and he was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. Cliff enjoyed coaching baseball and he touched so many lives throughout his coaching career. He was the most selfless person that you had ever met. He was always so humble. Cliff belonged to the IBEW Local #2286 and served as an official for the TASO. He loved the lord and enjoyed sharing his life story about his relationship with God. He and his family belonged to Timber Creek Baptist Church.

Clifford is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Moore; children: daughter, Kayce Goyens and husband, John Goyens and son, Mason Moore; grandchildren:  Braylee and Rhett Goyens and Madelynn and Allyson Moore; parents, Billy Wayne Moore and Delores Moore; siblings:  brother, Billy Moore and wife, Amie Moore; sister, Deidre Conner and husband, Billy Ray Conner; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, also survive.

The family will welcome visitors beginning Monday, December 6, 2021 at 5 PM until 7 PM at Groveton Funeral Home.  Celebration of Life Services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10 AM at the Groveton High School Athletic Complex with Bro. Mark Gray officiating. Burial will follow in East Prairie (Possumwalk) Cemetery.

The family would like all of Coach Cliff's past and present players to know that there will be reserved seating for them and their families.

Pallbearers: Tim Johnson, Trevor Brooks, Alan Lawrence, Randy Lively, Jeff Brown, Dan Fedak, Jr.

The family will be having a community provided meal after services at the Pennington Community Center in Pennington, Texas.  Anyone who would like to contribute to the meal may bring their dishes to the Pennington Community Center.  Thank you to all of the friends and family for their support during this time.
