Funeral Services for Clifford Kendrick, 83, of Apple Springs, Texas will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Lester McAdams officiating. Interment will follow the services in Bennett Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Kendrick will begin at 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Groveton Funeral Home.

Mr. Kendrick was born on October 24, 1931 in the Helmic Community of Trinity County, Texas to Bonnie and Gladys (Sullivan) Kendrick and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 12, 2014 in League City, Texas. He worked in law enforcement for numerous years and served as a Constable for Precinct 3 in Harris County. Clifford also was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was a member of Garden Oaks Masonic Lodge #1306, Scottish Rite-Valley of Houston; as well as a member of Shriners-Orient of Texas and Arabia Shrine Temple. Clifford was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and a friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, B.M. "Gude" Kendrick and Gladys Kendrick; wife, Ann Lavonne Kendrick; son, Michael Kendrick; and two sisters, Mildred Camardo and Jewell Sisk.

Clifford is survived by his two children, daughter, Melody Painter, of League City, Texas and son, Wendell Kendrick, of Montgomery, Texas; two sisters, Reba Navarro, of Houston, Texas and Ruth Kyle, of Grapeland, Texas; brother, Bennie Paul Kendrick, of Plano, Texas; three grandchildren and a host of other loved ones and friends.
