A Celebration of Life Service for Clara Jeannette Thorne, 74 of Pearland will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas. James Due will be officiating the service.

Jeannette was born on May 4th, 1941 the sixth child of ten to Clara Annie (Jones) and Duron Thorne. God called Jeannette home surrounded by family on May 1, 2016 in Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Duron Thorne; two sisters, Lilly Harrison and Martha Tullos and two brothers, C.W. Thorne and Leggette Thorne.
Jeannette is survived by her loving daughters, Stacey Whelan and husband Pat, Shanna Priddy and husband Zach and Shelli Carter; grandchildren, Aaron, Daniel, Aidan, Bram, Owen, Scout and Jake; three sisters, Dorothy Harbuck, Patsy Hoagland, and Betty Lawson; and two brothers, Duron Thorne, Jr. and Freddie Thorne and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
