Our dearest Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle "CJ" Crocker, passed away on December 31, 2023, in Montgomery, Texas.

CJ was born on March 9, 1943, to James Carl Crocker and Avis Imogene McCormick Turner in Bruce, Mississippi.

His wife, Lynda Sharon Crocker; father, James Crocker; mother, Avis Imogene Turner; uncle, Jackie McCormick; aunt, Annie Lee McCostlin; aunt, Louise McKelroy preceded CJ in death.

CJ is survived by his children: son, James Crocker and wife, Debra, Apple Springs, Texas; daughter, Jana Smith and husband, Billy, Montgomery, Texas; grandchildren, Brittany Soliz, Mallory Cardwell, Corgan Smith; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie McMillion, Masie Cardwell, Olivia Cardwell; sister, Kerry Jean Troppy; sister, Jo Ann Stephens; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also survive.

CJ lived the majority of his life in Bruce, Mississippi and Tomball, Texas.

Making a living truck driving and taking care of his family was his number one priority. In his youth, he enjoyed playing football for Raymondville High School. He also enjoyed watching football and westerns. CJ loved to hunt, fish, collect guns and to have a drink of Crown Royal.

Funeral services will be held at Groveton Funeral Home on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery in Tenaha, Texas.
