On June 1, 2024, our sweet baby girl, Cidney Quinn Lucas went home to be with the Lord at the age of four months.

She was born on January 24, 2024, to Brandon and Alexandria Lucas, in Lufkin, Texas. Cidney was the best blue-eyed thing that ever happened to her family.  She had the most beautiful, biggest smile and coo every time that one of her family members greeted her. She was always at peace and so content in her family's presence. Only a handful of her family members got to hear her laugh and it was so unforgettable. Holding her felt like holding a big bag of sugar. She was the sweetest.

Cidney was preceded in death by her paternal great parents, Hayward and Mayola Charles and Wilmer Lucas & Valiestene Lucas; maternal great grandfather, Charles Lyon; maternal grandfather, Jackson Windham; and uncle, Brian Lucas.

She is survived by her loving parents, Brandon and Alexandria Lucas; sisters, Cooper and Chloe Lucas; paternal grandparents, Alphonsa and Sheila Lucas; maternal grandparents, John and Paula Allday; maternal grandmother, Rhonda Windham; Aunts and Uncles: Lynn and Desmond Reeves, Bo Lucas, JR Lucas, Candice and Wesley Tharp, Amy and Wesley Alvarado, Sarah and Zachary Cox; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Death leaves a memory no one can heal. But love leaves a memory no one can steal. She will always be loved and missed dearly by her family and friends.

Friends and family are cordially invited to visitation from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Groveton Funeral Home located at 1019 W 1st Street in Groveton, Texas 75845. Celebration of life service to follow, at 11 am, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Groveton Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at 1300 Josserand Road Groveton, Texas 75845.
