On June 8, 2024, Christine Marie Thorne went home to be with the Lord at the age of seventy-five.

She was born on December 1, 1948, to Roy Patrick Langdon, Jr. and Billie (McDonald) Langdon, in Long Island, New York.

Christine graduated from Lawrence High School in New York in 1967. She later met the love of her life, Freddie Thomas Thorne. They were married September 19, 1970, at the Antioch Church of Christ in the Possumwalk Community of Trinity County, Texas. Christine loved her family and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as often as possible. She also especially enjoyed always keeping up with her family and knowing what they were involved in. She loved to watch her grandchildren play ball and she especially loved to fish for crappie.

Mrs. Thorne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Freddie Thomas Thorne in 2018; mother, Billie McDonald; father, Roy Langdon, Jr.; stepfather, Lee Kosako; brother, Stephen Leon Kosako.

She is survived by her son, Brian Thorne and wife, Pam Thorne; daughter, Kimberly Ann Bentley and husband, Stephen; sister, Katherine Kosako Yost; brothers: Roy Patrick Langdon, II, Michael Langdon, Christopher Langdon, Dean Langdon; grandchildren, Trevor Thorne and wife, Emiry Thorne, Logan Bentley and wife, Katelyn Bentley, Regan Bentley and girlfriend, Josie Watts; great grandchildren, Rylan and Brent Thorne, Kinley Bentley; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive.

Death leaves a memory no one can heal. But love leaves a memory no one can steal. She will always be loved and missed dearly by her family and friends.

Friends and family are cordially invited to visitation from 9 am until 10 am on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Groveton Funeral Home in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel. Celebration of life service to follow at 10 am at the Groveton Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Jones officiating. Burial to follow at Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas.
