Charles Fayne Mooney JR., of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the age of sixty-nine, peacefully. Charles was born on February 1, 1953, in Nacogdoches, Texas to father, Charles Fayne Mooney Sr. and mother, Reba Grace (Milford) Mooney.

Charles enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He worked and retired as a truck driver for numerous years. He loved to fish and boy howdy did he love to ride his motorcycle. Charles was mostly known for his amazing woodwork. He was a generous soul who could be counted on to help you with anything, and he never met a stranger, always willing to help someone in need. Charles also was a Mason for years.

Charles leaves behind to cherish his memories, his son, Charlton Mooney and wife, Erika; daughters: Charlotte Flynn and husband, Sam,  Chelsea Garrett, and husband, Marlon, and Ashlee Mooney; sister:  Teresa Lynn Baker; brother: Michael Mooney; sisters: Kendra Slaten, Charlene Ward, Kathy Ann Ford; step-daughter: Niki Allen; grandchildren: Drake Mooney, Reece Mooney, Lanie Mooney ,Evan Flynn, Owen Flynn, Jackson Flynn, Hallie Flynn, Chasity Mooney, Alyssa Mooney, Deuce Garrett, Jacob Viator, Noddyn Bailey, Parker Stevens, Nathya Allen, Sheyenne Allen; great grandchildren: Hazel Viator, Channing Tilley, Presley McLemore, Brenleigh Mooney; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family, and many friends also survive.

Mr. Mooney is preceded in death by his loving parents, Charles Mooney Sr., and Reba Grace (Milford), mother, Katheryn Mooney; infant daughter, Shelby daughter, grandsons: Brandon Duckett, and Jesse Mooney.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Cartwright Chapel in Groveton with Brother Wilkerson officiating. The family will have fellowship in the Family room here at the Groveton Funeral Home following the Memorial Service.
