Charles Ronald Heitman II, age 56, of The Colony, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on February 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 7, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Charles Heitman and Bonna Cox Heitman.
Charles was known for his kind heart, gentle nature, and his devotion to his family. He faced every challenge in life with quiet strength, humility, and grace. A man of integrity and compassion, he touched countless lives with his patience, humor, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
A bit of a handyman, Charles loved to tinker and fix things. Whether it was repairing something around the house or working on a new project, he found joy and satisfaction in making things work again. He had a natural talent for working with his hands and took pride in everything he accomplished. His ability to find solutions and his love of creative problem-solving were admired by all who knew him.
Family was the center of Charles's life, and his greatest joy came from the time he spent with them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His warmth, laughter, and steady presence will remain deeply cherished by all who were blessed to share life with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bonna Heitman, and his sister, Anna Schemm.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of sixteen years, Christy Heitman; his daughter, Amanda Sullins and husband, Matthew; his son, Kevin Heitman; and his beloved grandson, Cooper Sullins, who brought him immeasurable happiness. He is also survived by his sisters, Lisa Sachse and Cheryl Schemm; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Graveside services for Mr. Heitman will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Pennington Cemetery. Bro. Drew Scott will officiate the services.
Though Charles's life on earth ended far too soon, his legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
