Visitation for Carolyn Joyce Nash, age 73 of Apple Springs, Texas will begin Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 11:00 a.m. in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton. Burial will follow in Trevat Cemetery in Groveton, Texas.

Carolyn Joyce Nash went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2024. She was born October 20, 1950, in Houston, Texas. On April 2, 1965, she married her husband James Autry Nash. She loved to go camping and fishing. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, James Autry Nash; mother, Dorothy Gibson; father, Frank Gibson; sisters, Bobbie, Mary and Linda; brothers, Joe, Wayne and Buddy.

She is survived by her children: Ethel Marie Benton of Elkhart; James Autry Nash Jr, and wife Michelle of La Porte, TX; Jammie Marie Nash or Tyler; grandchildren: Carolyn Laverne Walston of Palestine; Pamela Joyce Traylor of Elkhart; JC Walson of Palestine; Travis William Walston and wife Hayle of Palestine; Hunter Nash of Huntington, Brandyn Nash of Lufkin; great-grandchildren: Kinzley Walston of Palestine; Jayden Traylor of Palestine; TJ Walston and Chasitie Walston of Palestine; Hazel Nash, Everett Nash and SJ Nash of Lufkin; sister: Betty Elrod of Elkhart and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
