Carolyn Elizabeth Evans passed from this life into eternity on October 5, 2019 in Lufkin, TX at the age of 88 years. She was born in Lufkin, TX on July 26, 1931, the daughter of Ben Cain Barton and Kennabel Campbell Barton.

Mrs. Evans is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Kennabel Barton; brother, Harold C. Thomas and her husband of 53 years, James T. Evans. Her survivors include her three children: son, James Evans and wife, Rinelle of Groveton, TX; son, Kris Evans and wife, Hilda of Groveton, TX; daughter, Lisa Evans Bullock and husband, Keith of Corrigan, TX; grandchildren: Heath Evans and wife, Veronica, Josh Evans, Kaydon Evans and wife, Bailey, Kristal Enyart and husband, Josh, Hillery Matthews and husband, Hunter, Brittany Jensen and husband, Justin, Bart Wiley and wife, Krista, Braxton Bullock, Courtney Quintana and husband, Ramiro, Taylor Hightower, Deni Ligon, Magen Nelson and husband, John, Luke Bullock; great grandchildren: Ava Andrews, Sofia Quintana, Marah Evans, Braylynn Adams, Kalli Enyart, Cami Wiley, Brinley Nelson and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Groveton, TX with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton, TX. Mrs. Evans will be escorted to her final resting place by her pallbearers: Heath Evans, Josh Evans, Kaydon Evans, Bart Wiley, Braxton Bullock, Luke Bullock and Josh Enyart.
