Our dearest Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt Carol Ann Rice, passed away on December 26, 2023, in Huntsville, Texas.

Carol was born on June 21, 1955, to Grover Kenneth Ashworth and Marlene Roth Jeffrey.  She married Carl Rice on April 30, 1979, after meeting at the old D&E Superette.  They were married for almost forty-five years.

Her mother, Marlene Jeffrey, preceded Carol in death.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Carl Rice, Groveton, Texas; her daughter, Michelle Lynn Floyd and husband, Rodney, Groveton, Texas; sons, John Kenneth Nobles, Lawton, Oklahoma, and Steven Nobles, Groveton, Texas; grandchildren, Blain Nobles, Mia Nobles, Tori Nobles, Elise Nobles; great-grandchild, Josia Santana; father, Grover Kenneth Ashworth, Groveton, Texas;  sisters, Kathleen Mara Stelley, Groveton, Texas and Melanie Grace Watson and husband, Doug, Groveton, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also survive.

Carol lived the majority of her life in Crecy, and Groveton, Texas.

Making a home, cooking, and taking care of her family was her number one priority.  She was always happy taking care of everyone.  She loved to give and share with anyone and everyone. Carol was a "people" person and never met a stranger. Her main focus was to always "bless" others and to try to bring joy to everyone.

A visitation will be held at Groveton Funeral Home on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
