Memorial Services for Carlton (Carl) Richard Pocock, 76 of Huffman will be held at 11:00 am., Friday, March 11th at the Huffman First Baptist Church, 25503 FM 2100 Huffman, Texas 77336 with Brother Mike Martin officiating and Reverend Jack McMahon assisting.
Carlton was born on April 15th, 1939 in Mansfield, Ohio to Harold Pocock and Doris (Kempton) Pocock. God called Mr. Pocock home on Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 in Humble, Texas.
Carl grew up on a dairy farm in Johnsville, Ohio and as a young boy he loved to be outdoors. He especially loved to play football. Upon graduation from high school he joined and served in the United States Marine Corps as part of the "Bay of Pigs Invasion". When Mr. Pocock was discharged from the military he began his career in waterproofing in New York. Carl moved to Houston, Texas in 1961 and worked in construction until his retirement in 2000. Mr. Pocock was married to the late Ruthie Pocock for thirty-seven years and they had three children together. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. On September 2, 2000 he married Ginger and they spent the rest of their years enjoying life on their 10 acres in Huffman.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Pocock and his first wife, Ruthie Pocock.
Mr. Pocock is survived by his wife, Ginger Pocock; his children: daughter, Sherry Holder and husband David; son, Mike Pocock and wife Kim and son, Heath Pocock and wife Karen; mother, Doris Pocock; grandchildren, Josh, Jordan, Jessica, Jimmy, Haley and Hayden; six step children: daughter, Cheryl McMahon and husband Jack, sons, Richard Swanson and wife Cora, Donnie Swanson and wife Julia, Ronnie Swanson and wife Stephanie, Charlie Swanson and wife Dana and Robert Swanson; thirteen step grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
